You Don't Understand Reality (and what to do about it)

What Is Reality

If you're like me, you don't understand reality. Let me explain.

According to our current dominant religion, Science, we only see a fraction of the light spectrum. Just how small is this eyeball-accessed subset we call visible light?

0.0035%

That's right - effectively nothing.

Seeing is believing?

Yes, believing all of the 0.0035% of reality accessible by light.

We are blind to reality. This has been known for literally thousands of years.

The allegory of Plato's cave describes a man chained inside a cave. Shackled, he can only stare straight ahead at a cave wall. A fire is behind him and occasionally animals and people walk between his back and the fire. His reality are the shadows he sees flickering upon the wall.

Finally released from his physical bondage, he's able to turn around and see the fire, the people and the animals and now proclaims his new reality.

Until...

He finds the mouth of the cave and emerges into the sunlight.

The 1999 movie The Matrix is an updated version of Plato's cave: reality within reality within reality. The sunglasses worn by the characters are an allusion to the reflected "reality" of the cave wall.

The Matrix

We are trapped by our culture that proclaims reality is based upon the 5 puny senses. These senses, including sight, hearing and smell are literally a joke when compared with those of animals like eagles, dolphins and dogs.

So what is the one capability we have that points us to the larger reality?

Imagination.

We live in a culture that extolls the virtues of technology and we worship our smart phones, the internet and jet aircraft -- all of which were created by that most powerful of capabilities.

Yes, imagination encompasses intuition, inspiration, creativity, epiphany and knowing. This is your most powerful faculty.

Do not let people tell you:

  • It's all in your head

  • It's only a dream

  • It's just your imagination

"Oh God, I could be bounded in a nutshell and count myself a king of infinite space, were it not that I have bad dreams..."

-- Shakespeare

You have access to everything you or the world will ever need. Inside you are a poet, a philosopher, an inventor, an artist, an engineer and a healer.

The world needs you to break out of the walnut shell of illusion and be freed from the cave of smallness and limitation.

The only way to do this is to go inside. Use meditation, prayer, hypnosis and whatever else works for you. Free video resources on my site can help you do this.

"You are not a drop in the mighty ocean, you are the mighty ocean in the drop."

-- Rumi

Stop doubting your most powerful sense and become what you came here to be!
